Venemous Villains

Every once in awhile something in the beauty world catches our eye and we can't help but fall in love (you may remember my obsession with the Betsey Johnson tweezers). Well MAC Makeup has done just that. They collaborated with Disney and are premiering a fabulous color collection celebrating Disney's bedeviled beauties.

Are you obsessed?! I am a total sucker for anything Limited Edition, especially when it comes to MAC makeup. The Cruella De Vil collection especially caught my eye. Who's your favorite Venemous Villain?

Short Hair

We have seen quite a few short celebrity do's lately and it's tempting us to chop our long locks. Short hair is a great way to draw attention to your eyes and cheek bones. Plus, it makes your neck look longer and sexy! We get a lot of requests for the ever popular Sienna Miller blonde crop.

Victoria Beckham is always someone we turn to for the latest trends and her hair is no exception. We love this messy, curled a-line.

Tuck it behind your ears, add some bangs and its a whole different look.

After watching Wall Street we fell in love with Carrie Mulligans hair.

And she proves that short hair can look great dark and blonde. We became even more obsessed with Carrie's hair after seeing her Vogue cover.

Always Deep, Never Dull

KEEP IT DEEP
Find reddening maddening? Get blue when warm highlights cool? Shifts into brunette shades happen subtly - and suddenly, you find your rich, glowing tones have gone from classy to brassy.
Warm Brunette
keep spicy highlights and warm, woods tones from cooling.

Cool Brunette
keep inky brown or blue-based tones from reddening.

Prevent color from lifting by treating hair like fine washables: Color Support low-ph cleansers and conditioners maintain tone and combat dulling autumn dryness with shine-enhancing moisture and a trace of pigment.

Love this hair! A little Jackie O. meets 2010. Simple yet sophisticated. Perfect style for when your bangs are greasy or having a bad hair day. Start this look by spraying prep all over your hair.

Apply styling lotion from your roots to ends. Blow dry with a roundbrush.

Apply sumowax throughout for separation and sheen.

Tweezers

We love Tweezerman tweezers, they are nicely angled and sharp so you can get even the finest of hairs. Also, if they are ever feeling dull Tweezerman will sharpen them for free! When we heard that they were collaborating with Bestey Johnson we knew only good could come from the partnership. So of course when we saw the designs we immediately fell in love!

NYC Fashion Week Hair

New York Fashion Week is in full force. Spring 2011 is looking like its going to be natural, showing our natural texture or simple and sleek. Here are a couple looks that Bumble and bumble helped create. Cushnie et Ochs kept the hair smooth on top and messy on the ends. Parted down the middle.

Ruffian kept the hair strong, confident and had a touch of iconic Hollywood.

BCBG kept it simple and clean with a perfect ponytail.
At the Peter Som show they kept the hair natural and parted down the middle.

MTV Music Awards

Sunday was the MTV Music Awards and we saw big hair trends on the red carpet. We predicted that red would be huge for fall and we were right! We loved Evan Rachel Wood's deep red color and retro curls.

If going all out red is too much for you try a rich chocolate brown with hints of red like Emma Stone.

Or if you feel like taking a walk on the wild side go all-out-red like Rihanna.

We applaud Snooki for losing her "bump" and going sleek and sexy. She looks gorgeous!
We love that Taylor Swift went with an entire look with her pin curls, red lips and black liner.

Ashley Greene went more natural with pretty caramel highlights and showing off her roots.

Celebrities always take trends to the next level. Kesha took it a little too far but we like the messy braid.

We saw a ton of colorful locks walking the carpet. Katie Perry did it right with just a few streaks of color.

And how could we leave out Lady Gaga? She also went with the colorful locks trend and proved that hair accessories are definitely still all the rage. In the middle of all thats going on we do love her pretty feminine curls.
